MindYourself is a blog devoted to the science and art of improving your personal health through the intelligent use of science and personal transformational tools. The blog has three loosely defined sections that interrelate and that ultimately empower you to define and implement your own health goals. You can also use this blog just to increase your critical thinking skills about scientific and medical research and then apply those skills to areas of your own choosing.

MindYourself will blog current scientific and medical articles of interest. I will annotate some of these articles to help elucidate the principal goals of this blog. I will also post some written commentaries that will frame some of the important contextual issues, particularly areas that are often hidden from direct view or even deliberately buried by interests that promote obfuscation. I will also break down (and also breakdown) many of the so-called gems of research and proof-of-concept publications.

MindYourself will also blog current personal health articles of interest. I will apply the same critical approach to the outrageous claims that are made everyday by medical journals, newspapers and other media, and other relevant sources of information. MindYourself will present articles, research, publications, and opinions that will challenge your long-held views of medicine and health and transform your ability to develop your own program of personal health. The blog will be relevant if you are healthy and interested in improving your body-mind fitness and if you have an illness that presents challenges in your life.

MindYourself is going to blog articles and commentary designed to add particularly and often uniquely valuable tools that can be integrated into your own personal health program. You will find that you have interest in some of the techniques and disciplines offered and no interest in others. You will find that trial and error is much more important than you would have realized in finding the best health options. However, it turns out that even trial and error has plenty of pitfalls that are almost never explained to users/consumers.

I invite you to not only browse/read MindYourself but also to participate. I welcome your comments and feedback.
