Dr. Richard Feinberg, Ph. D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in practice for over 25 years. Dr. Feinberg is a native of the Bay Area and received his graduate training at Michigan State University. He received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from that university. After graduation, Dr. Feinberg returned to the Bay Area and received additional post-graduate training.

In addition to being a licensed clinical psychologist, he is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Employee Assistance Professional and is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Dr. Feinberg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Psychology and a Diplomate of the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine.

Dr. Feinberg has an extensive background in the practice of psychology. He has previously served on the staff of a psychiatric hospital. He has also taught courses in psychology at the community college and university level. Dr. Feinberg began his clinical practice in Fremont in 1979 when he became a staff psychologist at Tri-City Mental Health Clinic. In 1981 he became the director of the clinic which has both an adult and children's division. Dr. Feinberg left the clinic to 1986 to devote his career to full-time private practice as a clinical and forensic psychologist. He has been in the same office location since that time.

Community Involvement
Dr. Feinberg has been active in community mental health during his entire career and has served as a consultant to many organizations such as Second Chance and other community-based organizations. Dr. Feinberg has received a Human Relations Commission Award from the City of Fremont for his contributions to the community. Dr. Feinberg has also hosted his own radio show called Psychologically Dynamic which aired on the North American Broadcasting Company network. Dr. Feinberg has appeared on television as an expert in important cases involving psychological issues.
